DC Ranch

Services: Public Relations

The Client

Developed by industry leader DMB Associates, DC Ranch is a 4,400-acre community in North Scottsdale, Arizona that seamlessly connects people to the beauty of both its designed environment and the surrounding Sonoran Desert. Thoughtfully crafted and constructed with an unprecedented attention to detail, DC Ranch has a distinctive governance structure with ample resources to ensure the legacy of an active and amenity-rich lifestyle for its discerning residents.

The Opportunity

DC Ranch wanted a year’s worth of media coverage to commemorate its 20th Anniversary. And they wanted a lot of it, not just a couple stories. As exceptional a community as DC Ranch is, the assignment was daunting. Ask any PR professional how interesting the anniversary of a business is to the media — let alone one catering to an affluent demographic — and they will politely chuckle. Those are exactly the kind of assignments that get our creative juices flowing.

The Strategy

Decibel Blue deployed a strategic media relations program that melded evergreen stories, original pitches, local event partnerships, influencer activations and community initiatives. This included short and long lead stories on architectural tours, food & beverage expertise, golf, the Tour de Scottsdale bike race, interior design and archeological compliance.

The Results

The following results met or exceeded the client’s expectations for Decibel Blue’s engagement. Our team secured national and local media opportunities including 21 online and print placements such as Arianna Huffington’s Thrive Global, The Wall Street Journal’s Mansion and House of the Day, and Luxe Interiors + Design. Also included were two featured articles in The Arizona and Scottsdale Republic, as well as four on-site local broadcast segments. All of this added up to a total publicity value of $265K and over 18.28 million total impressions. Not bad for “just” a 20th Anniversary story.
